Description:

CHAI, a global band from Japan, will release its long-awaited fourth full-length album "CHAI" simultaneously worldwide. The self-titled album is a conceptual work that can only be expressed by CHAI, whose activities transcend various boundaries, and was produced and recorded in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City, and other cities during the longest overseas tour in their career history in the fall of 2022. The album contains 10 songs that express CHAI's identity as a Japanese person in a CHAI style, incorporating elements of the ongoing American R&B sound and 80's funk, disco, and new wave into the tracks, while also being conscious of J-POP and city pop in the melodies and lyrics. The lyrics focus on Japanese culture, such as "matcha," "para para," and "karaoke," and the witty and unique approach of CHAI gives the songs a more original view of the world. The messages contained in each of the songs convey the powerful self-empowerment of the four members.
