Ikuyo Nakamichi's 30th Anniversary Release! The "30th Anniversary Release" will focus on four composers in Nakamichi's major repertoire - Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schumann - with a mix of new recordings and catalogs to be released throughout the year. The first release, Chopin's Masterpieces (new in 2015), uses an 1842 Pleyel piano, an instrument from the same era as Chopin. Nakamichi purchased the instrument himself, loving its unique tone, and its intimate flavor was acclaimed on the previous release, Chopin: Waltzes. Includes a bonus DVD with four bonus tracks recorded on the Steinway and a performance by Pleyel. Year of recording: May 26-29, 2015 / Location: Santomuse Ueda Small Hall
