Trifecta is a progressive rock/jazz fusion band consisting of Nick Beggs, Adam Holtzman, and Craig Blundell. The band, which also plays in Steven Wilson's band, has released their second album in three years, "The New Normal" Following their debut album "Fragments" in 2021, the band features bassist Nick Beggs (Kajagoogoo / Steven Wilson ), keyboardist Adam Holzman (Grover Washington / Steven Wilson), and drummer Craig Blundell return with their new album, The New Normal. For listeners who want to escape from the ordinary, this album is a window into a collection of songs that are bizarre in both sound and concept. Based on elements of progressive rock and jazz fusion, the album invites the listener into a world where sound is free and time becomes a mere concept.The recording was engineered by the band themselves and mastered by Andy VanDette (Beastie Boys / Rush / Whitney Houston). Alex Lifeson (Envy Of None / Rush) played guitar on "Once Around The Sun With You" and Theo Travis (Steven Wilson) guested on sax on "Daddy Long Legs. Also, John Paul Jones' 1979 Chapman Stick was sent to Nick for use in the recording of "The New Normal". In addition to being extremely talented performers, the three have performed together as part of Steven Wilson's band and are also featured on Wilson's new album, "The Harmony Codex".
