Hans Pucket, a four-piece from Wellington, New Zealand, writes nervous yet easily danceable rock songs, and their second full-length album, No Drama, to be released on November 4 on Carpark Records, is an album of spoken word and appropriate No Drama" captures the anxiety that comes with being in one's twenties, when you start to talk too much and can't find the right words to say. This is music that, despite their best efforts, is engaging and relatable to those who feel uncomfortable with themselves, their world, and their place in it. Recorded at the Oakland studio of the band's good friend and former tour mate Jonathan Pearce of The Beths, NoDrama is a giant leap forward, perfectly arranged, and full of immediate groove.The album was several years in the making, during which time the band was joined by multi-instrumentalist Callum Passels, who handled all of the album's horn arrangements. produced by Pearce, Benjamin Sinclair, also of The Beths, was Benjamin Sinclair, also of The Beths, arranged the strings for the album, which was produced by Pearce. Singer Elizabeth Stokes also contributed backing vocals.
