The performance of No. 4 is based on the revised edition of 1851. Broglie-Sacher has been the Music Director of the Hanseatic City Lübeck since 2001, and from 2007 to 2013, he was the Music Director of the Lübeck Opera House for seven years. (After Brogli-Sacher, he was succeeded by Tatsunori Numajiri, and from the 2019/2020 season by Stefan Vladar.) During his tenure as music director of the opera house, his "Ring of the Nibelung" staging and DVD production project was highly acclaimed in various circles and won the 2012 German ECHO Prize.
