The pleasures of virtuosity are in the air. Sandro Nebjelise, born in 2001 in Georgia, started playing piano at the age of 5 and has studied composition with Maka Vilsalase since the age of 9. In 2016, she won the Grand Prix at the Fland Piano Competition, organized by Matusowev, and was a prize winner at the Mariinsky International Piano Competition, among other international piano competitions. He has also shown his talent in composition, and in addition to solo piano works, he has already completed a string quartet and a piano concerto with orchestra, starting in 2016 when his Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor (dedicated to Sergei Prokofiev) won the Best Composition Award in Georgia, and In addition, he has won various awards for his compositions every year. He also has a deep knowledge of literature and has written his own surrealist short stories. He attended the Conservatory of Music attached to the Tbilisi State Conservatory of Music, and will be attending the Conservatory in September 2018.He has performed his own works at music festivals organized by Matveev, and has also participated in many music festivals. He says that Rachmaninoff is very close to him and that he can relate to his works naturally, and here, too, from the opening sonata, he draws the listener into his world at once with his effervescent passion and persuasiveness.
