Following "24 Preludes (CDA 67700)" and "Piano Sonata No. 2 (PCDA 67936)," which was selected for the Record Art Special Mention, Osborn presents the complete works of the eight "Sound Pictures" Op. 33, composed in 1911 (No. 4 is converted to Op. 39-6), and the nine "Sound Pictures" Op. 39, composed in 1916-17. Rachmaninoff's "Sound Pictures," which require a high level of technique as well as deep interpretation and versatile expressiveness, are portrayed with Osborne's high intelligence and superb pianism.
