BLUEBLUT is an improvisation trio consisting of Pamelia Stickney, a female theremin player based in Austria, Mark Holub (dr), known for the British jazz rock band LED BIB, and Chris Janka, a composer/guitarist based in Vienna. This is the band's fifth and latest album in '24. The band's musicality, which incorporates elements of improvisation, jazz, avant-rock, ska, folk, and krautrock, has been highly acclaimed internationally, and since then the band has been releasing works consistently and ambitiously. This album is the culmination of 10 years of activity, and is the most "composed" album in the band's discography, symbolizing the band's return to its roots as a trio. While developing clever soundscapes with the theremin, the entire album is playful, experimental, and at times, eclectic in a Henry Cow-like way.
