It is centered around the interactive arias of voice and recorder by Nuria Real, a Barcelona-born soprano who is attracting attention as a diva of ancient music, and Maurice Steger, a recorder player who expresses music with his whole body. A graduate of the University of Bologna and a scholar of 17th- and 18th-century Italian music, Giovanni Andrea Cecci, the collection includes very rare works discovered during his research into birdsong arias and baroque concertos. Nuria Real's serenely beautiful singing and Stiger's lofty and overwhelming flute narration of these magnificent arias, in which lyrics and music express dreams, playfulness, about love, and the beauty of nature, are delicately and sometimes sensually teased together to create a fascinating world of duets.
