Live CD featuring Bob Dylan's first career recording, a 1961 performance at Carnegie Chapter Hall in New York City.In January 1961, at the age of 19, a young Bob Dylan came out to Greenwich Village, NY, and just 9 days after signing a contract with Columbia, he performed at Carnegie Hall on 7th Avenue in Manhattan on November 4 under the auspices of Izzy Young, the director of the Folklore Center, who was a friend at the time. This live CD contains material from his first live performance as a solo artist at Chapter Hall, a small rehearsal room in Carnegie Hall on Seventh Avenue in Manhattan on November 4th under the auspices of Izzy Young, the director of the Folklore Center.The 14-track selection includes four originals, two arrangements of traditional numbers, two Woody Guthrie covers, and a mix of folk/blues standards.
