The year is 1966 in Tokyo, Japan, a disease-free and long-lived country that has conquered death through a medical revolution and achieved the world's highest GDP and 100 million yen in pension payments through environmentally unfriendly economic activities and a 19-hour workday policy. One day, "Hazura Ohba," who lives a drug-addicted and lazy life "outside" the 16th Ring Road, where air pollution and poverty prevail, runs into "inside" the 7th Ring Road, where the privileged live, with a group of runaway bikers, and gets involved in a fierce struggle. There, he encounters a deformed body called "Lost Body," and is saved by a woman with mysterious powers, Hiiragi Miko, and learns that he, too, has powers different from those of other people. The man who has been distributing drugs to a group of runaway gangs and creating lost bodies is a man named Masao Horiki, who has the same power as Hazura and Miko. Masao says, "All human beings are "lost" in a social system that has gone too far. Masao says that all human beings have been "disqualified" by an overly advanced social system.Masao Horiki acts for himself to bring about the collapse of civilization, while Miko Hiiragi acts for someone else to regenerate civilization. What will be the choice of Hazura Ohba, who has been deprived of the escape from death and has become a non-human, in the 100 days before the "Human Passing Ceremony," the first event for human beings to celebrate the average life span of 120 years?
