It has been about 1 year and 9 months since their last live best album "echoes" and 4 years since their first original album, and the latest full-length album "MOMENTS" by the melodic instrumental band bohemianvoodoo is now completed! While based on jazz, Latin, and funk music, the ensemble's melodious and free-spirited ensemble still maintains a Japanese "singing spirit" that can be described as bohemianvoodoo. This album features guest musicians Yusuke Oda (TRI4TH, tp), Naoto Yomota Temujin (Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro/BANDERAS/jaribu afrobeat arkestra, tp), and Yusuke Baba (tb), as well as a horn section that adds a wider range and more colorful sound. The album has a wider range and is more colorful. <1Stone Church>, recorded live on the previous album, is now available for the first time as a long-awaited official recording. From funky and cool tunes like <2Gypsy Funk> to light and passionate tunes like <6A Seaside Hut> reminiscent of Herbie Hancock's "I Thought It Was You -The album contains 11 tracks that unfold in a variety of ways. It is a piece that brings a spoonful of drama and dynamism to the daily routine of rising in the east and setting in the west. They started live performances mainly in Tokyo and Kanagawa. In December 2012, they released their second album "SCENES" from the up-and-coming label Playwright. In 2013, Takuya Yamamoto replaced Takatoshi Inoue on drums. The band continues its activities with new members. In January 2014, first appearance at Blue Note Tokyo. In November, released long-awaited 3rd album "Aromatic". In September 2015, they performed at Tokyo Jazz Festival. In June 2017, "echoes", a live best & DVD, was released. In December, his one-man live concert at Blue Note Tokyo was held for the first time and sold out immediately. In February 2018, "echoes" won the Album of the Year - New Jazz category at the NISSAN PRESENTS JAZZJAPAN AWARD 2017 organized by JAZZ JAPAN magazine. In April, he performed at the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2018, his first overseas performance. The music video for his signature song "Adria Blue" has been viewed over 3 million times on his official Youtube channel (as of January 2019) and continues to grow. The song is pop and melodious, with dramatic developments and an exhilarating drive. The melodious instrumental band, whose songs conjure up images of various landscapes, celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2018, and is now gaining even more momentum in the music scene.
