Description:
The second chamber version of Beethoven's symphonies arranged by Hummel, "Rural" is now available! In the 19th century, there were no recordings, but sheet music publishing flourished and "house music," in which large orchestral works were arranged for chamber music, became popular. Hummel, eight years younger than Beethoven, also created chamber music versions of symphonies and concertos by Mozart and Beethoven. In No. 6 "Rural" and No. 2, recorded here, we can enjoy a taste that resembles a delicate conversation between the performers, which is different from the original orchestral music. The flute is the same Uwe Groot as in the previous recording, and the Pettmann Ensemble, in which he participates, gives a superb performance. This time, veteran pianist Michael Endres joins the ensemble on piano for a lively performance. Naxos Japan
