The duo of Tomoko Kawada and Sachiko Suda, who richly portray the individuality of the diverse works, is superb, captivating the audience with their exquisite ensemble and a deep sense of sound field that transcends the image of two string instruments. Tomoko Kawada graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts at the top of her class, won the first prize at the 5th Spohr International Competition in 1991, and was awarded the ExxonMobil Music Award, Encouragement Prize in the Western Music Division in 2003. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Japan and abroad, and has released 11 solo albums. Sachiko Suda graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music at the top of her class. She has won first prizes in numerous competitions, including the 23rd Vittorio Gui International Competition. Currently, she is the Principal of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Principal Guest of the Century Japan Symphony Orchestra, and the leader of the viola performance group "SDA48". Meister Music
