One of the most significant events in the music world was the Beatles' entry into the U.S. market. That year, they made their first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show," attracting 73 million viewers. Along with their breakthrough in the U.S., the appearance of their enthusiastic fans caused a social phenomenon known as "Beatlemania. Their success was followed by the "British Invasion," in which British bands such as the Rolling Stones and the Kinks entered the U.S. charts and swept the popularity of the country. While these movements are being talked about, one cannot take one's eyes off the emergence of Motown Records, the Beach Boys, and others who established the surf rock sound, and the sprouting of various other types of music in the United States. In this issue, we focus on the U.S. music scene in the midst of the influence of the British Invasion in the same year.The accompanying CD contains a carefully selected selection of classic songs that sadly missed the top of the charts due to the Beatles' whirlwind.
