The Battering Trio is an Israeli future soul band that has been acclaimed by top key figures around the world, including Giles Peterson, Snoop Dogg, and Peanut Butter Wolf. They made their first visit to Japan in 2017 and gave an electrifying performance that was the talk of the town from all quarters.The beatmaker Yuval Havkin, the core member of the Battering Trio and one of the most important figures in the Israeli beat scene, has released a solo album on the Stones Throw label, The album is a shocking future-soul sound that goes through LA beat scene, hip-hop, punk, dub, techno, and many other music, and is written with the exotic essence of the Middle East! The sound world is incredibly psychedelic and dreamy, with multiple layers of synths, keyboards, saxophone, guitar, percussion, and other instruments over a dubby bass line. And a unique sense of melody! The more you listen to it, the deeper you get into the mysterious and comfortable feeling, and the more you feel as if you have descended from somewhere in the universe!
