Inheriting the tradition of Stax Records and High Records, Malaco Records, the prestigious label loved by soul fans around the world as the savior of Southern Soul in the 80's, has released a series of straight reissues as a miracle domestic release! Queen of the Blues, Dennis LaSalle released this Muscle Shoals recording in 1988. The album features a funky "Eee Tee" by George Jackson, a cover of Sam Cooke's classic "Bring It On Home To Me," which was also cut as a single, and his own ballad "I Forgot To Remember," which also became a single, all backed by thick horns and a gritty, sometimes brilliantly melodic sound. The band is backed by a thick horn section and performs gritty and sometimes brilliantly. Supervised by Shinichi Iwama (Super Cry Inc.).
