Description:
Debut album on the theme of night by harpist Elisabet Plank, born in Vienna in 1991. She took her first music lessons at the age of seven, and two years later she entered the preparatory course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has focused on performing harp works beyond the commonly known Romantic repertoire, and is internationally acclaimed, having won prizes at competitions in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Japan. His harps are made by Lion & Healy. "For me, it is always important to show the diversity of the harp to concert audiences and to present the harp as an authentic solo instrument... Most of the pieces on this album are based on literary sources or are associated with the night and for example, Ami Maayani's piece evokes the imagery of "One Thousand and One Nights". The purpose of the selection of works is to demonstrate the versatility of the harp and the diversity of its repertoire.
