This is a CD of the minimal Resurrection Symphony, which was born under the virus disaster, and it is well known that Mahler's Resurrection Symphony was arranged for 4-handed piano by his pupil, Bruno Walter the Younger. The four-hand piano arrangement allows us to hear the voices well, which significantly increases the transparency and reveals the modernity of Mahler's music. On the other hand, the solo chorus, which would have to raise its voice with all its might against a large orchestra, is able to sound beautiful without effort. This makes the familiar Resurrection Symphony sound fresh and new! The more familiar you are with the original Resurrection Symphony, the more you will discover in this performance of the Minimum Resurrection Symphony. Mahler fanatics and Walter fans should definitely give it a listen. The trumpet is used only as a supplement. Gregor Meier and Walter Zoller are both pianists in the Gewandhaus Choir. Meyer also rehearses for the chorus. This minimalist Resurrection Symphony was conceived because of their inability to perform a large choral work under the onslaught of a new virus.
