Gaz Mayall is the leader of the Trojans, one of the UK's leading ska bands, and a collector and DJ of R&B/R&R and other vintage music. His London-based party "Gaz's Rockin Blues" has had a great influence on vintage DJs around the world who are interested in live sound. This is a large-volume compilation celebrating the 40th anniversary of that party! It contains 28 tracks selected from "Rock and Roll," "Rhythm & Blues," "Gospel," and "Jamaican Music" for each genre of music. The songs are selected from the classics rather than the rarities, which I think is the best introduction to the genre.
