The first volume of a project by noted keyboardist Banjaman Arar to record all of J.S. Bach's keyboard works! This is a grand project in which one performer will perform both J.S. Bach's harpsichord and organ works in chronological order of composition. This first volume includes works from 1699-1705 (composed by J.S. Bach in his teens). CD1 is a collection of works from his first post in Arnstadt, works that showcase his amazing abilities as an organist, and works that show his respect for his predecessors and the extraordinary degree to which he explored their works, all of which will open our ears to the world of J.S. Bach. The works on this program seemed to open our ears to Bach's world anew. The organ and harpsichord sounds are Harmoniumundi's best recordings, and the sopranos participating in the chorale pieces are pure and clear. You can enjoy the marvelous world of the boy Bach.Banjaman Allard was born in 1985 and won first prize at the 2004 Bruges International Harpsichord Competition. He studied at the Basel Conservatory with Andrea Marcon and others, and has been a church organist since 2005, as well as a bass continuo player and soloist in the La Petite Band led by Kuiken.
