Description:

MOLYBARON, formed in Paris in 2014 by Gary Kelly and Steven Andre (who left the band in 2022), has released its third album "SOMETHING OMINOUS". MOLYBARON). They became a band that garnered attention with just two albums: their debut, "Molybaron," in 2017, and their second, "The Mutiny," in 2021. In fact, with its nostalgic melodies, royal metal, powerful riffs derived from hard rock, Gary's distinctive vocals, and the band's groovy, tame performance, MOLYBARON showed a certain talent that captivated us strongly. I don't think MOLYBARON's sound can be defined in one genre. I write and produce all of my songs based on the ideas that come to me. I try not to copy anyone else's style. So I never listen to other music from myself. Therefore, I have no idea what is popular in the world. In the cinema, on TV, in the elevator, it all doesn't matter to me," says Gary. The latest album, "Something Omnious," is a masterful expansion of the band's limits and possibilities even further than its predecessor. Released as a single, "Breakdown" captures the loneliness, confusion, and vulnerability of the band as they weave their words through the struggles of a mind on the verge of collapse. The dynamic sound is at once heavy and poppy, exhilarating and immersive. The lyrics on this album run through the songs, which have been whittled down to 10 tracks. They delve into profound and provocative themes and explore the complexities of the modern human experience. The inconsequentiality, the regret over the limited time spent in relationships, the prospect of losing loved ones, the fear of growing old and lonely, as well as a deeper look into the collusion between politics, the state, the media, and big business, mass manipulation, and the systematic censorship of dissent and independent journalism. Furthermore, Gary's meticulously crafted songs are infused with exceptional musicianship, a variety of transformative and manipulative musical styles and feelings that will keep the listener enthralled. MOLYBARON is committed to originality and moving forward strongly.今作『SOMETHING OMINOUS』も要注目である!<MOLYBARON>Gary Kelly ? vocals, guitarFlorian Soum - guitarSebastien de Saint-Angel ? bassCamille Greneron - drums
