This bass-less trio consisting of Awsten Knight (vocals/guitar), Otto Wood (drums) and Geoff Wigington (guitar) has been performing a wide range of music since its formation, from straight-ahead rock to alternative rock, alternative rock and pop. Since their formation, the bass-less trio has been creating their own unique, ultra-genre pop sound, incorporating everything from straight rock to alternative rock, electro to pop music, and even hip-hop and R&B, without any rules. signed with FUELED BY RAMEN.They have completed their fifth studio album, "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY," their first for the label. Last year, they announced the beginning of a new era for Waterparks with the release of "FUNERAL GREY," a bouncy pop-punk number. Since then, they have released "FUCK ABOUT IT" featuring blackbear, "SELF-SABOTAGE," a collaboration single with Good Charlotte and a pop-punk anthem that vividly depicts a day in the band's life on tour, and "REAL," which brings the band's heavier side to the forefront. REAL SUPER DARK," which brings the band's heavier side to the forefront. They also played these songs during their tour in 2022 and received a great reaction from their fans. Not much information has been revealed about the album at this point, except that it will contain 11 songs in total and that all four singles released since last year are included, but in an interview with KERRANG! magazine, frontman Awsten has the following to say about the band's upcoming latest work.I think we're doing everything Waterparks does well here, and expanding on it. There are elements that make you think they could have been on other albums, but there are also elements that are far from what we've done. It's like a perfect balance between the songfulness of (the 2018 album) 'ENTERTAINMENT' and the unrestrained craziness of (the 2019 album) 'FANDOM,' and it's a perfect blend of the two. We want people to listen to our music and just feel good about themselves. It's all bouncy stuff. It's aggressive, but it's energizing. There's a lot of energy in it. NME magazine called it "a bold step into new territory," and KERRANG! NME magazine called it "a bold step into new territory" and KERRANG! magazine declared, "Sure, it's weird--but it's cool too.
