The Norwegian progressive rock band formed in '17 by Jan Mikael Sorensen, Havard Enge, and Jan Erik Kirkevold Nilsen, who have been playing together since the '70s, when they were all teenagers. The band was formed in '17 by Jan Mikael Sorensen, Havard Enge, and Jan Erik Kirkevold Nilsen, all of whom are multi-instrumentalists. The "ZERO" series released between '21 and '22 featured a sound processing/fantasy sound that was relatively close to current post-rock, but this time the band pays homage to the pop/rock influences of the early '80s, and therefore, the album is not as ornate as it could have been. This time, however, the arrangements are mainly in the style of classic rock, utilizing the live sound of the band, such as light cutting guitars and a solid rhythm section.The album also features guest vocalists like never before, including Colin Moulding of XTC on "For the Boys," Colin Bass of CAMEL on "The Other Side," YES/CIRCA:/WORLD TRADE on "The Ocean," and Billy Sherwood on "The Ocean. and Billy Sherwood's vocals on 'The Ocean'. The rustic flavor of Scandinavian folk mixed with the melodious melodies of pop-rock makes this album a new side of the band! (From the manufacturer's information)
