Co-produced by former Deerhoof guitarist Chris Cohen and Trey Pollard (Natalie Prass, Waterboys, Bedouin, etc.)! Amber Arcades by Annelotte de Graaf, a female singer/songwriter from the Netherlands/Utrecht, returns with her second album in two years, "European Heartbreak"! Released almost two years after their debut, the album features co-producers Chris Cohen, former Deerhoof guitarist, and Trey Pollard (Natalie Prass, Waterboys, Bedouin, etc.). No one would have cared if the title of this film had been "American Heartbreak." For some reason, I felt that calling it "European Heartbreak" was more appropriate and sounded like a statement of some sort. I am Dutch, so that means I am European. The focus of the album is on Europe.As far as heartbreak is concerned, for me it is a symbol of the collapse of something you have created (love, identity, nationality, economic system, etc.). It has a very universal meaning in my mind," Annelotte said about the background of the film.
