Description:

Ferruccio Busoni showed his musical talent from an early age, performing as an accomplished pianist and composing numerous piano pieces. Throughout his life, he wrote numerous works for two pianos, some of which are strongly influenced by J.S. Bach, whom he greatly admired. The "Counterpoint Fantasy" at the beginning of this album is one of the best examples of such works. The way Busoni weaves together a magnificent fugue while making full use of complex counterpoint is truly reminiscent of Bach.
