The sixth collection in the "Romantic Piano Concertos" series is a collection of modern American piano concertos. It includes works by Magdalwell, Gershwin, Barber, and Beach, all of whom are known for their "Sketches in the Woods. Eugene Liszt (1918-1985), who gave the American premiere of Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1, Marie-Louise Boehm (1924-2002), who devoted herself to exploring the unknown repertoire, and Raskin, known only for his recordings of Liszt works other than this Barber concerto.
