Schwertzig is a contemporary Austrian composer. His works range from operas to German lieder in his unique tonal style and have been very popular. This album is the first in a series of Schwertzig's complete piano works, and Aya Cleburne, who has a good understanding of Schwertzig's works, has created a collection of works that includes the Bach-like "Prelude and Fugue," "Album Spellings," a collection of pieces dedicated to various figures, the lyrical "Five Nocturnes," and the beautifully scenic "Morning of Departure," a collection of four pieces that will bring beautiful scenes to your eyes.
