Description:

Commemorating the 113th anniversary of his birth, world premiere recording Reunited with his beloved instrument and buried works after 90 years! Koichi Kishi Unknown WorksKoichi Kishi (1909-1937) composed ballet music, operettas, symphonies, violin concertos, and many violin pieces and songs during his 28-year life. Six of his violin pieces and seven songs were published during his lifetime, but he left behind a large amount of other scores. The core of this album consists of his early works, which are performed for the first time in 90 years, and a group of unpublished works including sonatas. (omission) It should be noted that these works were performed by Stradivari 1710 "King George," which belonged to Koichi Kishi. Kishi, who started out as a violinist, met "King George" in 1929 at Emil Hermann's shop in Berlin, and kept it at least until 1933. Sachiko Ishibashi, who currently lends "King George" to Kishi, has breathed life back into the buried score. Kishi's beloved instrument and the sheet music were reunited for the first time in 90 years. As a Koichi fan, I am extremely happy. (Excerpts from liner notes by Masato Mohri)Instrument used: "King George" Stradivari "King George," born in 1710, was the property of King George III and was named after him. It is said that Bernhard Morik (1802-1869), a student of Spohr, brought it to Germany. It is also known that August Richards (1836-1893), a Berlin violin maker, maintained the instrument. The German-American music dealer Emil Herman sold the violin to Koichi Kishi around 1929, and "King George" became the first Stradivari to land in Japan. The instrument is now owned by Sachiko Ishibashi. The instrument is currently played by Sachiko Ishibashi. Tobu Shoji Co.
