SERENITY is the eighth studio album by the Austrian symphonic/progressive metal band SERENITY. The band has also announced the addition of new member Marco Pastorino (TEMPERANCE, FALLEN SANCTUARY), and released the first single from the new album, "Ritter, Tod und Teufel (Knightfall)", prior to the album release. The title of this single is "Ritter, Tod und Teufel (Knightfall)". The title of this single is taken from the work of the famous painter Albrecht Dürer, which is also used as a concept in the music video. The album also features guest appearances by Roy Kern (ex-KAMELOT/currently CONCEPTION), Daniele Mazza (ANCIENT BARDS), and Harvey Langhans (FIREWIND), among others. What is noteworthy about SERENITY's albums is that most of their albums have a concept based on a historical background or story, and the band has not only a high sense of music but also a literary sense, with dense, dramatic developments structured according to the concept and built up with undulating melodies. These elements set the band apart from other symphonic metal bands, and are the proof that they have been able to produce high quality works and gain the support of many fans over a period of 20 years.Frontman Georg Neuhauser has also been expanding his activities in recent years as vocalist for the masked band WARKINGS and a new band called FALLEN SANCTUARY, named after one of SERENITY's best-known albums, which he started with Marco Pastorino and others.
