This is the twelfth installment of the Takasaki Arts Theatre's "T-Shot Series" presented by Naoto Otomo, which introduces talented young performers from various perspectives through recitals, recordings, and videos. Meijin Kitamura has won numerous awards, including the Grand Prix of the 46th Pittina Piano Competition Special Class. This is the first solo CD+DVD of this highly acclaimed pianist, who honed his skills at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland. He won the Grand Prix of the 46th Pitina Piano Competition in the Special Class, as well as the Audience Award and the Japan Piano Society's Prize. He also received the Audience Prize, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize, and the Steinway Prize. Second prize in the piano section of the 17th Tokyo Music Competition. Gold Prize at the 9th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia. She won the 2nd prize at the 1st Schumann International Piano Competition for Young Musicians (Germany), the 1st prize at the Rahn Musikpreis (Switzerland), and was selected as a scholarship student at the Bruno-Frey-Stiftung (Germany).He has attended master classes with Pascal Devoyon, Claudius Tanski, Clive Brown, Richard Goode, and Nicolas Hodges. He has performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, Zurich Academy Chamber Orchestra, and Leise Kammer Orchestra. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, he graduated from the Faculty of Music and the Graduate School of Soloist Diploma (Switzerland) of the University of the Arts Zurich. She completed her master's degree in music at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Upon completion of his studies, he received the Acanthus Music Prize of the Graduate School and the Clavier Prize of the University of the Arts. Studied under Megumi Ito and Eckart Heiligers.
