HEAVEN & EARTH, the masterpiece of Kamasi Washington, symbol of the golden age of new generation jazz Kamasi Washington, who continues to exert a special presence as a symbol of the golden age of new generation jazz, has released his long-awaited second album, Heaven & Earth, following his 2015 debut, The Epic. Spanning two and a half hours, the album is divided into two parts, "Earth" and "Heaven," and throughout the album, Kamasi collides the real world with the cosmos and explores its psychology. Further exploring his own ideas about the structure of the world, the album explores his reflections on the current global chaos and his vision for the future. For the recording of this album, Kamasi brought his band, The Next Step, and The West Coast Get Down, the starting point for the rise of a new generation of jazz, to Henson Studios in Los Angeles to record the 16 songs that comprise Heaven & Earth.Composed and arranged by Kamasi, the album will include new original music as well as "Hubtones" by bebop legend Freddie Hubbard, plus a cover of the theme song from the legendary "Dragon Fury" movie and a song by band member Ryan Porter. The album also features a host of musicians including Thundercat, Terrace Martin, Ronald Bruner Jr, Cameron Graves, Brandon Coleman, Miles Moseley, Patrice Quinn, Tony Austin, and many more.
