Formed in Dunfermline, Scotland in 1968, NAZARETH played live in local pubs and clubs. They started by playing shows in local pubs and clubs, and eventually moved to London, where they released their debut album in 1971. It was not until their third album "RAZAMANAZ" in 1973, produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover, that they began to attract the attention of the rock scene. (Incidentally, they were opening for Deep Purple when they released their second album.) "RAZAMANAZ" produced hits such as "Broken Down Angel," which made the UK Top 10, and "Bad Bad Boy," and was followed by the release of LOUD 'N' PROUD" was also a hit not only in the UK, but also in Canada and Germany with "This Flight Tonight," a cover of Joni Mitchell's song. They continued to release albums consistently with "RAMPANT" in 1974 and "HAIR OF THE DOG" in 1975, producing rock hits such as "My White Bicycle" and "Love Hurts," the band's only U.S. hit. The band went through several member changes, but continued to consistently release albums and tour, until 1993, when the spotlight was once again on them.This is because GUNS 'N' ROSES included a cover of their song "Hair Of The Dog" on "THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?". Although keyboardist John Locke passed away in 2006 and original vocalist Dan McCafferty announced his retirement for health reasons in 2013, NAZARETH continued with new members, and in 2018, the 50th anniversary of their formation, they released a studio album "Tattooed On". In 2018, the 50th anniversary of the band's founding, NAZARETH released the studio album "TATTOOED ON MY BRAIN", and in April of this year they released their latest studio album "SURVIVING THE LAW". In April of this year, they released their latest studio album, "Surviving the Law". CLOSE ENOUGH FOR ROCK 'N' ROLL 】 Released in 1976, this seventh album is highlighted by the concept track "Telegram," which depicts the touring life of a rock 'n' roll band in the 1970s. (In fact, for many years, this song was the first song at Nazareth shows.) In a sense, this album can be called a musical turning point, as the band's AOR orientation is reflected in its sound.
