Jimi Hendrix's debut performance with the Band of Gypsies is fully documented in Machine Gun the Fillmore East First Show, December 31, 1969. The band, consisting of Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles (ds), and Billy Cox (b), played four historic concerts at the Fillmore East in New York City, two on New Year's Eve 1969 and two on New Year's Day 1970. This is the first complete recording of the first show on December 31, 1969, with the song order as it was then.
