The renowned British conductor Douglas Bostock, who has held major posts with the Czech Carlsbad Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, and the Southwest German Philharmonic, and has made his mark in Japan as the permanent and principal guest conductor of the Tokyo Kosei-Wind Orchestra and an invited professor at Tokyo University of the Arts. Douglas Bostock recorded the complete Schumann symphonies in 2002. This is the world premiere recording of the complete Schumann symphonies in the original Breitkopf & Hertel edition at that time.
