This is a collection of violin works by Diego Conti (1958-), a contemporary Italian composer who is also a violin virtuoso. The world premiere recording was made in the same year as "Works for Cello and Strings" (TC950302), which is released on the same Tactus label and includes an arrangement of Schumann's Cello Concerto, and is performed by the talented Italian virtuosos Daniela Cammarano and Alessandro Delyavan. The inspiration for Conti's work is truly diverse. Conti's inspirations for this work are manifold, ranging from science fiction to pop "laced" with both classical forms and personal moments.
