Bing & Ruth, an 11-piece chamber ensemble led by New York pianist David Moore, released their debut album "City Lake" in 2010. The album has been praised as sounding like a session between Steve Reich and Lubomir Melnyk, so don't miss out on this minimalist music with a perfect balance between the two! This is the early work of NY-based Bing & Ruth, consisting of two cellos, two clarinets, two vocalists, double bass, percussion, lap steel, tape delay, and piano. The bright melodies and physical, percussive playing of their latest work, "TWTGA," are impressive, and the beauty of Bing & Ruth's meticulous ensemble is evident on "Rails," which incorporates claps and a strong Reich influence, centered on the classical piano.
