After unraveling his roots with his previous album "PINUPS," Bowie parted ways with the glam rock he had been known for with "DIAMOND DOGS," a cutting-edge masterpiece released in 1974 and inspired by George Orwell's novel. This is the half speed master analog version, cut by John Webber of AIR Studios! David Bowie, a legend who always pioneered the cutting edge of the times, sealed his Ziggy Stardust persona in July 1973 and reset his activities by releasing the classic cover album "PINUPS" in October of the same year, which featured covers of songs that had influenced him, Since then, he has developed a new style while experimenting with new directions and musical adventures.In February 1974, the band first released the single "Rebel Rebel," which reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart, and this single was followed by their eighth album "Diamond Dogs," a masterpiece with a cutting-edge style released in 1974, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. DIAMOND DOGS" was actually released on May 24, 1974. Exactly 50 years later, on May 24, 2024, two special limited edition analog vinyls will be released: a picture analog with a striking illustration on the cover and a half-speed master analog. The sound sources on these analog vinyls were cut on a customized late Neumann VMS80 lathe, using the original master tapes restored to 192 kHz, with no processing added during the transfer.
