With the world in the midst of a pandemic, cellist Benedikt Kreckner has commissioned composers from six continents to compose and record small pieces for solo cello under the theme "Echoes of Light". The content is an image of putting Bach's Western European masterpieces in dialogue with music from around the world, and is intended to be a fusion of the music of today's world. This three-disc set conveys Kleckner's spirit for the album, which is of course a sincere interpretation of Bach's masterpieces.
