This is Pat Metheny's first live album as PMG, and the only album on the ECM label to feature Pat Metheny in a live setting with a high acoustic effect. Released in 1983, this is the only two-disc Pat Metheny album on the ECM label. The album features the best takes from performances in Dallas, Philadelphia, Sacramento, and Nacogdoches, as well as four cities and counties on the North American tour that followed the release of the 1982 album "Off Ramp". Starting with the signature song "Follow Me" and ending with "San Lorenzo", the varied musicality of the song unfolds dramatically, giving the audience an imaginative feeling that they are traveling somewhere.
