JWP started its activities in 2014 as one of the few professional brass bands, mainly consisting of young musicians. JWP focuses on "originals" from composers of the past to contemporary corporate works, and performs concerts and recordings. This year's third concert features up-and-coming conductor Hiroaki Naganawa, who has studied under Kazuyoshi Akiyama for a long time. The program is packed with highlights, including "Wind Crest," a piece with a variety of percussion and flowing melody that will catch your ears, and Hindemith's large-scale "Symphony for Wind Band," full of color and dynamic sound with a thorough understanding of the characteristics of the instruments.
