The overture to "Fingal's Cave" has a realistic feel, and the "Italia" is clear and unmistakable. The master was digitized at 192kHz/24bit from the original analog master tapes in the original country for this release, and mastered separately for the SACD and CD layers. New commentary is included. This is a permanent preservation disc. This project is a Tower Records exclusive project, and we have reissued many Klemperer recordings in the past.This is the first reissue since the January 2021 release of "Schubert: Symphonies No. 5, 8, 9 and Franck's Symphonies" (TDSA164), "Dvořák: From the New World and Others" (TDSA166) and "German Opera Overtures & Waltzes" (TDSA167). Symphonies Nos. 4-9" (TDSA128) and "Mahler: Selected Symphonies" (TDSA115, out of print), as well as a total of 11 SACD hybrid releases including operas and concertos. This time, as the latest and long-awaited follow-up to those one-off releases, we are reissuing the highly acclaimed "Mendelssohn" works in the newest edition. The recordings, which were originally made with W. Legg and continued with the Philharmonia Orchestra (New Philharmonia Orchestra) until the end of his life, are all gems, but I think everyone will agree that one of the most outstanding recordings is "Scotland" and the others. The "Scotland" is one of the most outstanding recordings. In addition to the original stylistic beauty of the music, the high level of musicality that can only be achieved by Klemperer is one of the major attractions that attracts even the heaviest users.Although these superb recordings have been converted to SACD several times, this time we have used a master of the original analog master tapes in Japan, converted to 192kHz/24bit, which is a large amount of data, and mastered for music fans by Kosei Fujita, who has continuously supported our series of high-quality sound recordings from a musical standpoint, with the latest mastering.
