Caitlin Bowska is a concert pianist and harpsichordist, and researches and lectures on Central and Eastern European composers at the Curtis Institute of Music. In the fall of 2021, she began performing works by women composers who had become refugees in a society hard hit by war. and the recording was made possible. This LP was recorded at the same time as the already released CD (YR-54460), and includes works by Caroline Shaw, whose Chopin mazurka appears in the middle of the piece, and Maria Szymanowska, who was active in Poland during the 18th and 19th centuries.
