When I encounter the works of Emanuel Bach, I feel as if I am opening a door to a new world - a world where completely contrasting things exist side by side, far away and yet at the same time very close at hand. It is a world of contrasts, far away and yet at the same time very close at hand. [Manuel Granatiello, C.P.E., the second son of the great Bach, was born in Leipzig, Germany. Bach left Leipzig for Berlin, where he composed a number of works for flute while keyboardist to flute-loving Prussian Friedrich the Great.
