Description:
A collection of cantatas by Rudolf Lutz and the Bach Foundation Orchestra. The 40th collection includes two cantatas. No. 146, "We shall enter the kingdom of God through many tribulations," belongs to the third collection of Bach's Leipzig Cantatas, but only a transcription of the cantata, which was written after his death, has survived. The content is for the third Sunday after Easter, but the date of its premiere is also unknown. The opening Sinfonia is based on a lost D minor violin concerto arranged for organ, and the following chorus is based on the same piece. The sad movement turns into a powerful movement that seems to overcome the difficulties at every moment, and the audience is filled with joyful singing. No. 188, "I have a good faith," premiered in October 1728, is another work that has been imperfectly transmitted.Although some of Bach's autograph scores have survived, the original parts have been lost, and the autographs have been mutilated or otherwise not preserved in their entirety. (Later, C.P.E. Bach also used this material in a different manuscript version, so we have many chances to hear this piece.) Pikander's lyrics are for the 21st Sunday after Trinity and depict a strong trust in God. Naxos Japan
