Description:
Otto Klemperer (1885-1973) is one of the most famous conductors of the 20th century. Otto Klemperer (1885-1973), one of the most famous conductors of the 20th century, is known for his wide repertoire of classical, romantic, and modern works, as well as for his many unique episodes. His "debut at the age of 70" with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks in April 1956 (at the invitation of Jochum) was a big hit, and he gave a total of 11 concerts in Munich from then until May 1969. Despite his deteriorating health, Klemperer gave a series of excellent performances, and from these 1956 and 1957 concerts, we can enjoy Haydn's fiery Haydn and Brahms' profound Brahms, who seemed to put his soul into every note and every emotion. The Brahms is from the same source as Orfeo C201891DR. It will be interesting to see how the original sound source owned by the Bavarian Broadcasting Company is reproduced this time. Naxos Japan
