＜The 47th in the "60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS" series of reissues in conjunction with the "60's GARAGE DISK GUIDE" presented by All Days Records under the supervision of Jimmy Masuko. In 1965, Dave Alexander and Ron Ashton go to see the Who at the Cavern, and as they push their way to the front of the stage, Pete Townsend starts smashing his 12-string Rickenbacker. The crowd piled into the stage and Townsend swung his guitar down on their heads. I never thought music could drive people to such a dangerous precipice," Townsend said. I realized right then and there that this is exactly what I wanted to do. This is what I want to do. This is the story of Ron Ashton, guitarist for the Stooges in McNeil & McCain's "Please Kill Me": in 1965/6, if you were a music lover who wanted to get the girls, you would cover the Beatles or the Hollies. If you wanted to be cool and wild, you would cover the Rolling Stones or Zem. There is only one reason to cover The Who.Because I want to drown in the loudness of noise, with guitar feedback like Pete Townsend and drumming like Keith Moon.
