While they’re by no means aiming for mass appeal, their sound draws inspiration from bands like Goiste and Kimidori. The theme of this album, “What Does It Mean to Be Alive?”—a play on a skit from a certain comedy show—hits home for adults who are still chasing their youth. When you discuss the overly complex topic of the meaning of life with friends, you probably end up settling on a playful answer like, “Well, as long as I’m having fun right now, that’s good enough for now.” That’s the vibe of this 11-track album.
