Started by members who have worked in prestigious choirs and ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Ghent, Cinquecento, Grand Lavoie, Capilla Flamenca, and Huelgas Ensemble, and based at the Cartesian Monastery in Mauerbach, Austria, the group has been performing Renaissance Franco-= They sing mainly the music of Renaissance Franco-Flemish polyphony. So far, they have sung in Okegem, La Rue, and Obrecht.Beauty Farm, which has earned a reputation for its recordings of little-known masses by Flemish musicians such as Gombert, changes course a bit and releases the masterpiece "Mass of Pope Marcellus" by the Italian Renaissance master Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina! This special program is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the renowned musicologist Bruno Turner, who conducted "Pro Cantione Antiqua", the leading a capella group in English ancient music before the Tallis Scholars. The "Mass of Pope Marcellus," with its story of the protection of church music, is likened to the musical crisis of a modern pandemic.
