Recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios, a late 19th century church in upstate New York that was converted into a studio, the album was co-produced by David Tolomei of Dirty Projectors and Beach House.The exquisite guitar sounds on this album are enhanced by the delicate drone sounds from the other instruments, and Joe Casey's vocals are placed there to envelop everything. Incidentally, Imelda May is featured as a guest vocalist on three songs: "Wee Wee Hours," "Almost Grown," and "Rock N Roll Music. She says that this album, "MAD LAD: A TRIBUTE TO CHUCK BERRY," is the first in a trilogy of tributes to musical heroes who have influenced her. He also chose Chuck Berry for the first installment because he has been a big fan of his for many years and has toured with him. It is also said to be a tribute to Chuck Berry, who passed away two years ago.Ronnie is highly acclaimed as an artist, and his portrait of Chuck Berry adorns the album cover of the current album. Ronnie Wood has announced that he will lead his own band to perform at Shepherds Bush Empire in London and Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
